Access Supply Chain and Crosby Kitchens shortlisted in prestigious manufacturing awards

Press Release - Friday, September 28, 2007

Access Supply Chain and customer Crosby Kitchens have been shortlisted in the ‘IT in Manufacturing’ category of the Manufacturer Live Awards 2007.

The Sheffield-based kitchen manufacturer has gained significant returns as a result of the Access Supply Chain solution, which has enabled it to manage a 20 per cent increase in sales with ease. A growing range of customers, like Crosby Kitchens, are benefiting from the software vendor’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions, which also won major honours earlier this year in the Best of British Manufacturing IT Awards.

Craig Such, managing director for Access Supply Chain, commented, “More and more manufacturers and distributors are realising that to stay competitive and grow their businesses, they need to use IT in an appropriate and intelligent manner. Crosby Kitchens is an excellent example of what can be achieved, and it is testament to the Crosby Kitchens team - the company has streamlined its business processes and made the most of the software’s flexibility and integration capability.”

In the ‘IT in Manufacturing’ category, the judges were looking for modern manufacturing environments where information management and the technology are paramount to drive the facilities and services required across the entire enterprise. The final stage will focus on the company that has made significant progress towards the utopia of having designed, implemented and managed an IT infrastructure spanning all its business processes and be able to show returns on the investments it has made as a result.

The winner of each category will be announced at a celebratory awards evening to be held at The Ricoh Arena in Coventry on 17th October 2007.
